Michelle Maggio is Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor and a Nationally Certified Counselor. Michelle graduated from Judson University with a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Michelle graduated from National Louis University with a Masters of Science in Mental Health Counseling.
Michelle began working in the counseling field at Streamwood Behavioral Health Hospital working with children and adolescents with a wide range of behavioral and mental health conditions. Michelle has worked with adolescents and young adults providing counseling services addressing mental health and substance use disorders at Rosecrance.
Michelle’s counseling philosophies are based in Cognitive Behavioral and Dialectical Behavioral therapies. Michelle’s experiences including working with children, adolescents and young adults and their families. Michelle’s area of interest and specialty include Anxiety, Depression, Self-harm, Improving self esteem, ADHD, Working through family separation and divorce including rebuilding relationships with family. Michelle utilizes play therapy and art therapy interventions with children and adolescents. Michelle is currently accepting new clients.
